Magma is an audio processor that manipulates incoming audio by intertwining it with previous versions, unraveling its intricate nuances, and adjusting its spatial presence. This unique tool generates a spectrum ranging from dark drones to shimmery textures and peculiar percussive tones.
Sitting at the intersection between a micro-looper, a granular engine, a sustainer, and a sound enhancer, Magma has the capability to crush sounds with reverberating auras or delicately infuse them with an ethereal quality. By incorporating Magma into your track, you can infuse your sounds with a fresh identity.
Magma possesses a distinctive sonic character that shines when paired with acoustic elements. It has the ability to metamorphose various audio sources in unimaginable ways, reacting uniquely to each input signal. It can elevate or deconstruct sound, embodying characteristics ranging from molten lead to frozen wind.
Handling Magma requires precision as users must navigate its various parameters in different contexts to unlock uncharted sonic territories.
HOW IT WORKS: Magma captures incoming signals in a short buffer continually, plays back the content by blending different moments in time, resulting in rich textures. Users can adjust the density and persistence of these textures to achieve reverberant effects, infinite sustains, or spectral embellishments. Additionally, users can sculpt these textures using an EQ section, a Temperature knob for distortion control, and a Mid/Side knob for spatial manipulation.
- GO RAW OR KEEP IT SMOOTH: The RAW switch alters the input's envelope follower for sharper or smoother sounds.
- MEMORIES AND FROZEN TIME: Control the persistence of memories to blend past with present and engage the freeze toggle for sustained effects.
- SPEED: Adjust playback speed for perfect harmonies or intriguing intervals.
- SCULPT: Utilize the EQ section to shape texture timbres by boosting or cutting frequencies.
- WEIGHT: Use the Mid/Side operator to add depth or airiness to the texture.
- IN-GUI INFOS: Enable Infos toggle for instant parameter details by hovering over a parameter.
- 2 FLAVOURS: Dark and light skin options available.
